Nars NARSissist Eyeshadow Palette (Review, Swatches & Tutorial)
Nars NARSissist Eyeshadow Palette, £55
1st row (All About Eve, Madrague, Bellissima) || 2nd row (Madrague 2, Nepal, Lhasa) || 3rd row (Fez, Ashes to Ashes, Bad Behaviour) || 4th row (Bali, Brousse 2, Dogon 2) || 5th row (Coconut Grove, Mekong, Pandora 2)
A few days ago, Nars announced the online launch of ‘NARSissist’, its new eyeshadow palette containing 15 shades, which sold out online in a matter of days. Now, I don’t own anything from Nars (apart from this palette now) and I haven’t been tempted to buy any hyped up products in a long time, but the next thing I knew I was hitting the ‘Purchase’ button on the Nars website.
The palette arrived a few days later and when I asked, most of you said you’d prefer to see a First Impressions video review (like the L’Oreal Eau de Teint Foundation review I did a while ago), so here it is!

On the video I talk about my immediate reaction when I saw the palette and then how my opinion changed slightly after I read some online reviews. I also swatched every single eyeshadow and added the names next to the swatches, which is something I think Nars should have included in the palette. Then, to demonstrate the quality of these eyeshadows I show you a step-by-step tutorial of an eye makeup look using 6 shades from the palette. So click the play button above and enjoy! This palette costs £55, which is definitely not cheap, but if you were to buy all 15 single Nars eyeshadows, you’d end up paying £270! So if you’re looking to try a variety of shades at once, it’s probably worth it. If you didn’t manage to get your hands on it this time, the palette will be officially launched in stores from the 1st of February, so you don’t have long to wait.

This is such a gorgeous palette. I would love to add it to my collection but it’s just so unnecessary with all the palettes I already have now. It’s tempting though!

Hehe! I had to convince myself I needed it because of a couple of shades I didn’t have, but you’re right, it’s very similar to lots of other neutral palettes. It’s so pretty, though! :) x
