Is it bad that I’ve already started planning our Summer holiday destination? I know we haven’t even had Spring yet, so my excitement may be a bit premature, but the thought of sunglasses, tanned skin, mojitos, & flip-flops is the only thing getting me through this dreadfully miserable week we’ve had here in the UK. With that in mind, I think I’ve found something that will be coming with me on holiday this year…

Soap & Glory Feel Good Factor Translucent BB Cream Review

This is the Soap & Glory Feel Good Factor Translucent BB Cream; at first I was a bit confused because in my experience, BB Creams are generally tinted, and even if sheer, they provide some sort of coverage. This BB Cream, however, is already described by Soap & Glory as a translucent BB Cream, which is a contradiction in itself; so avoid confusion I think this should be labelled as a moisturiser, not a BB Cream.

Nomenclature aside, this product claims to be 3-in-1: primer, moisturiser and UV protector. As a primer, I find this didn’t work too well for me; despite being quite thin when dispensed, the product leaves a very thick and luxurious layer of moisture on the skin, which took a long while to be absorbed. Initially I thought my skin would stay sticky and moist, but after about 15 minutes the product did eventually sink in. Unfortunately, that’s a relatively long time for a primer to sink into the skin, so I won’t be using this as a primer.

Now, as a moisturiser and UV protector, this cream exceeded my expectations. As I mentioned before, it’s quite thick in consistency and therefore perfect to give your skin a day off from makeup and a boost in the hydration department. It comes with a huge SPF 25, so I can see this being a big hit during the Summer, especially to take away on a Summer holiday and top up throughout the day.

Pardon the bare face! Look at all that redness and pigmentation… ugh!

Overall, I do recommend this as a moisturiser and a UV protector, but not as a primer and BB Cream. It’s affordable and you get a decent amount of product (50ml) for your money.

What do you think of the Soap & Glory Feel Good Factor Translucent BB Cream? Have you ever tried another translucent BB Cream?

Thanks for the review! Obviously we don’t have Soap and Glory in Japan and I wasn’t aware of the existence of this product until i read your review. And this is exactly what I’ve been looking for! A translucent primer and moisturiser that provides a UV protection. Waiting for 15minutes to sink in in the morning sounds a bit of a pain though…Does it have the smell of sunscreen? Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts, I will add it into my wishlist and might get one this summer when i come to London! x

Glad you liked it :) Funny you should say, I forgot to write about the smell; it does have a sunscreen smell, unfortunately. I think I can put up with it during the Summer, as it reminds me sunbathing and going to the beach :) hehe x

Thanks for sharing about the scent! That’s a shame that it does have the smell, but that’s so true it makes you feel like you’re at the beach, doesn’t it? haha When it comes to sunscreen, I think Japanese ones are the best in terms of the texture and scent. Check them out if you have a chance! ;) xxx
