Quick Eyebrows with Soap & Glory Archery
I’ve never been a fan of filling in my eyebrows with pencil, so I’ve always stuck to powders. I’ve been through (and still use occasionally) a lot of them, including Benefit Brow Zings (review here), VIVO Ultimate Brow and Eye Kit (review here), HD Brows Kit and MAC Eyeshadows in Carbon & Charcoal Brown. The last one is my most used and favourite overall combo with my Japonesque Angled Brow Definer, as you can see on my most recent Eyebrow Tutorial (HERE). It has worked for me for a really long time, but the drawback is that it can be time-consuming to perfect both brows, and when I’m in a hurry, I often neglect my brows – shocking, I know!
Anyway, I digress – for my honeymoon, I was on the hunt for an eyebrow ‘thing-y’ that would do the job quickly and that would stand the heat better than powder eyeshadows. That’s when, on a whim, I decided to buy what would turn out to be a true gem from Soap & Glory.
About
This is the Soap & Glory Archery, a 2-in-1 Brow Tint & Precision Shaping Pencil. It only comes in 2 shades – Brownie Points (darker) and Love is Blonde (lighter) – but I do believe it will suit most people. I have ‘Brownie Points’ and it suits my fairly dark eyebrows quite well.
How it Works
The pen end dispenses the brow tint; it has a super fine tip, which really helps filling in my eyebrows quickly and with precision. The pencil on the other end, is a bit too thick for my taste, but I only use it to set my eyebrows in place, after I’ve filled them in with the tint. I can literally do both eyebrows in under 2 minutes – score!
Lasting Power
Archery did pretty well; when I was away on holiday, I’d apply makeup around 8am and I wouldn’t touch it up until 6pm, which is pretty impressive on my books! The only times I felt it faded a little bit, was when I went in the pool – I guess that was kind of expected! :) If you guys want, I can do a whole blog post (or video) on the other products from my holiday makeup bag that ranked high on the staying powder department.
Excuse the bare face and huge under-eye bags… it was way too early in the morning! :)
Verdict
I really feel like I can get more natural results with the Soap & Glory Archery than with my beloved MAC eyeshadow combo. Although I’ll still use powders for when I want a fuller, more dramatic effect, on an everyday basis it’s much easier to use the brow tint & pencil duo. If you’re looking for something practical, that gives your eyebrows a more natural effect, I recommend grabbing this little bargain on your next shopping trip!

You look perfect in them photos, I don’t know what you’re talking about with under eye bags!
I’m really on the look out for a product like this, and this looks perfect. I love how thin the nib is! I usually use a paul&joe eye compact thing, but it can be very time consuming.
I would love to see the post on holiday essentials in terms of staying power. :)

Beautiful brows! I’m usually a pencil user (have been using Rimmel Pro pencil for about 10 years!) Definitely gonna check this one out as it looks like a much more natural finish x

This actually looks really good! I’ve just been using an average Rimmel pencil that has been doing ok but isn’t great. Might invest in this!
