About a week ago I placed a little naughty order on the Liz Earle website; I managed to replenish some of my essentials, such as my beloved Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, and also ordered my first bit of Liz Earle makeup.

This is the Liz Earle Healthy Glow Cream Blush in the shade ‘Nectar’, a warm rosy pink shade that is easily wearable on all skin tones, including darker skin tones, depending on the amount applied. The packaging is a gorgeous midnight blue with flecks of shimmer all over, which gave this blush a big thumbs up on my books.

Texture-wise, this blusher applies very softly and blends easily, both with a stippling brush and fingers. I found it applied more evenly with a stippling brush and I was able to get a beautiful natural-looking flush of colour. This blush has definitely made it into my makeup bag as a staple, and I’ll probably keep it there for quite some time!

Overall, I was very pleasantly surprised by this blush. It looks beautiful, inside and out, and it delivers great pigmentation in a lovely soft and easy to blend texture. This is the first cream blush I’ve tried that I’ve liked just as much as my MAC Powder Blushes; and that’s saying something for a MAC Blush addict like me!
What do you think of the Liz Earle Healthy Glow Cream Blush in ‘Nectar’? Have you tried any other shades? What do you think of Liz Earle’s makeup collection in general?

I’ve actually never tried cream blushes out s: what’s better and what’s worse about them, than powder blushes? o:

I find that powder blushes are quicker and easier to apply because you need very little blending. But cream blushes can look more natural; because of the texture, it sinks into the skin a bit better, instead of ‘sitting’ on the surface like a powder blush. The only downside of cream blushes is that you have to blend it well (much like the concealer and foundation) otherwise it will look patchy.

    I hope that helped! :) x

Yeah… like I said above, it all depends on how much you apply. That’s why is suitable to fair, medium and darker skin tones! :) It’s a bit pricey, but I do think I’ll get a lot of use out of this! xx

I agree… especially because during the winter it can look a bit fake when too much blush is applied (you obviously haven’t been sunbathing!), and with cream blush you can get a lovely sheer and natural-looking coverage :) x
