Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner, £2.99 || Boots
I’ve been desperately looking for a new eyeliner since I’ve recently hit pan on my MAC Fluidline, which is my all time favourite eyeliner, but ridiculously expensive to keep repurchasing. I had a disappointing experience with the Maybelline Gel Eyeliner (review HERE), so after watching Alix’s videos I decided now to give this Collection felt tip liner a try. Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner, as the name says, is a long lasting liquid liner pen with a felt tip. Using this eyeliner is literally as easy as drawing on a piece of paper with a Sharpie! The eyeliner applies with ease and no mess at all! This liner dries almost immediately and it doesn’t transfer.
You can draw a very thin line or a thick line with this because the tip is relatively small and super easy to work with. I find this is particularly good to create a little flick at the outer corner of the eye, even for people with clumsy hands like me. The only downside to me is because this is a liquid eyeliner, it doesn’t leave a glossy finish like gel eyeliners do, which is not necessarily a problem, but I love the way MAC Fluidline looks kind of glossy and shiny immediately after application, but this felt tip liner leaves a complete matte finish.
Another great thing about this eyeliner is how long-lasting it is – OH MY GOD! It stays on all day long without smudging, transferring or fading. Surprisingly, this wasn’t as hard to remove as I’d expected; of course, being a long-lasting eyeliner it takes a bit more effort than the usual eyeliner to remove, but a good makeup remover will do the job.
In general, I’m happy I got this and a massive thank you to Alix for recommending it; I can see myself using this for daily makeup looks and saving my MAC Fluidline for more special occasions. It ticks all the boxes and it’s perfect for what I need. If you’re in the market for an inexpensive eyeliner that will last you all day and won’t fade or transfer, this is definitely worth a try!
