Rimmel Scandal Eyes Show Off Mascara, £4.99 Boots | Superdrug
Of all places, I first heard about this mascara whilst watching 90210. It was a scene between Naomi and Annie and I noticed the ‘clever’ product placement technique. Cheeky! Nevertheless, the mascara caught my attention and I grabbed one from my local Boots a couple of days ago.
The USP (unique selling point) of this mascara is its quirky brush with a round bristly end. According to Rimmel, the flat brush volumises the lashes and the round brush at the end lifts and defines. When put to the test, this mascara did not disappoint!
The application process was stress free; no clump, no mess, no fuss! My first reaction was, ‘WOW‘; the brush does exactly what it claims to do. After one coat, I was pretty happy with the result, but I applied a second coat just to make sure I wouldn’t be left with clumps. My lashes have never looked so long, fluttery and volumised without looking fake, which is exactly the look I go for on most days.
So, I’m happy to report I have found my new favourite mascara. Thanks to Naomi from 90210, Rimmel Scandal Eyes Show Off Mascara has officially replaced my old favourite Maybelline The Falsies Mascara! Oh and they both have purple packaging :) Now Rimmel needs to hurry up and make a waterproof version of the Scandal Eyes mascara!

How well does it come off? I find some of my favorite mascaras turn sticky and gross when I’m trying to get them off.

I can’t say much about the original one because I haven’t tried it, but I go on really well with this one. Two things that I hate in mascaras are: clumps and wet mascaras, which cause them to smudge a lot. This one doesn’t have either of the above, so I’m a happy gal :) xx

This looks really good on you! I’ve always avoided Rimmel because I’ve always found their mascaras to completely clump my lashes together – may have to rethink after seeing these pics!

I’ve also tested this recently and absolutly fell inlove with the results, It made my lashes look so long and volumised!! The before and after pictures show just how good this product is, and £4.99 what’s not to like??

I just saw the episode where Naomi mentions this mascara. It was like a commercial in a tv show. But anyways, I’ve been hearing such good reviews on this mascara that I might give it a try. I love you reviews, they are always helpful! :)

I haven’t tried ‘They’re Real’, but the one difference I noticed is the rounded bristles on ‘They’re Real’ are at the very tip. On the Rimmel one, the very tip of the brush is flat. Instead, there’s a gap between the flat part and the ball part :) xx
