Review: Benefit Erase Paste Concealer (Before and After)
Benefit Erase Paste – Debenhams / Boots / Benefit
Benefit Erase Paste is a creamy concealer that claims to brighten and hide dark circles and discolouration, all in one step. It comes in 3 shades and it can be used both under the eyes and on imperfections and spots all over the face.
I’ve been wanting to buy this concealer for while because the reviews where amazing. I was actually convinced to buy it after one of the Benebabes demonstrated it on me and I was really impressed with the results. So I went home and tried to recreate what she had done.
The one thing I’m not crazy about is the shortage of shades; there are only 3 shades to choose from: fair, medium and deep. I was originally matched to the shade ‘deep’ as it has yellow undertones, but because I bought the ‘POREfessionally Pretty’ kit, it only came with the ‘medium’ shade, that has pink undertones.
The texture of this concealer is very creamy, but after blending it sets into a satin finish. The instructions say to a apply a dot of Erase Paste to the inner and outer corner of the eye, and blend it towards the middle. I actually applied four dots with less product to make it easier to blend. As a little tip, Benefit recommends to run your fingertips under warm water to heat them up before blending.
I was rather impressed with the results! The concealer blended into my skin beautifully, leaving absolutely no visible trace of the product. It did exactly what it said: conceal and brighten, and I’m really pleased with the Erase Paste. Another tip I learnt from the Benefit team, was to apply foundation after the Erase Paste, to make sure your whole complexion is matching, rather than having a much lighter area under your eyes.
Now, onto the off-putting part: the price. This baby costs nothing less than £19.50 in the UK for a 4.40g pot! Granted, this will probably last me a whole year because you only need the tiniest amount to conceal under both eyes, but still, it’s a lot of money. You can save some money by buying the POREfessionally Pretty kit for £23.50, and it comes with a full-size POREfessional and mini tubes of Girl Meets Pearl and Erase Paste, which is what I did. But bear in mind you can’t choose the shade of your Erase Paste; it comes with the ‘medium’ shade, so if you’re fair or dark-skinned, this won’t be any good to you.
All in all, I’m so pleased with how this concealer performed and I’m definitely a happy customer. I’m not sure if it will replace my all time favourite Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer, just because the Collection 2000 gives me more coverage, but the Erase Paste is a serious contender.

I love this concealer unfortunately I was sold Shade 2 even though I’m really pale skinned so I can only use it when I’ve fake tanned. It’s amazing though, I’ll certainly pick up the lighter shade when I get the chance x

This is a great review and the pics are brilliant! I love collection 2000s concealer but I find it no good under my eyes- great for coverage but really creases and shows up any fine lines. So I’ll be keeping that one for spots and am looking for a new under eye concealer. This has been a possibility for a while so I will deffo get a Benebabe to test it on me and see what I feel! xx

Yeah, it’s a brilliant concealer for highlighting the under-eye area :) xx

Yay! I’m pretty sure both the fair and the medium have pink undertones, but I’m not 100% sure. Maybe try and ask Benefit on twitter. They’re pretty good at answering questions :) xx
