November Boudoir Privé Box: Contents + Review
Every month I look forward to the days when the postman bring me my subscription beauty boxes. This month, however, I was a bit disappointed with my Glossybox, so the anticipation for the Boudoir Privé box was even bigger. So, here are the products featured in the Boudoir Privé box, November edition!
The packaging was lovely, as usual, just a bit on the rough side with some dents on the box and little rips on the wrapping paper, but never mind!
Dead Spa Magik Silky Body Lotion
I was very pleasantly surprised with this lotion. Despite the smell, which for the life of me I can’t find the words to describe, it has a milky texture, leaving my skin feeling soft and silky. It took 5 minutes for it to be completely absorbed by my the skin, after which, there was no trace of it on my hand. Big thumbs up to this one!
Rahua Voluminous Shampoo and Conditioner
I wasn’t particularly happy to see this in the box again. One of the first (if not the first) Boudoir Privé boxes contained 2 of these Rahua shampoo and conditioner samples, but they made my hair feel really greasy and dull, so I’m not too keen on trying this Voluminous range. Hopefully, it will prove me wrong!
Vinies Luminous Skin Mask
Maybe I was lucky, maybe it was a mistake, but the guys at Boudoir Privé included 2 of these in my box! I haven’t tried this yet, but I must admit I’m not looking forward to trying it, purely because of the looks of the content. It looks like diarrhoea – Ew! If it does turn out to be a great face mask, I might have to close my eyes before applying it otherwise it will be too off-putting!
Studiomakeup Rich Hydration Lipstick (Truly Red)
What a lovely surprise to see another Studiomakeup product in the box. In a previous Boudoir Privé box we got an eyeliner from Studiomakeup, and now we got a red lippie. It is by far one of the most moisturising lipsticks I’ve ever tried and the pigmentation is great. I don’t know about the staying power because I haven’t worn it for too long to test it, but I shall give it a proper try soon and let you know.
Korres Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturiser SPF 6
This face moisturiser has a creamy texture, it blends in the skin easily and it doesn’t leave a particularly strong smell. I didn’t notice any immediate results on my complexion after applying it, but I liked the fact that it didn’t make my face feel greasy. I’m definitely giving this a try over a period of a week, at least, and report back to you!
Overall, I was pleased with most things in my November Boudoir Privé box, but it wasn’t the best I’ve ever had. It was, however, much better than the November Glossybox, so big thumbs up to Boudoir Privé this month!

Your blog photos are always so lovely! The red shade of the lipstick looks great, I was really dissappointed with the Shimmering Sand shade I got because the product itself is really good quality, just doesn’t suit me at all. Great review Ysis! Sami – xxx

Aw, thanks, Sami! The red lippie is absolutely amazing. I saw some photos of the Sand shade and it does look a bit weird :( What did you think of the other products? xx
Beauty Geek
I agree with Sami, I too got the Shimmering Sand colour which was a really unflattering golden beige (I took a picture and put it on my blog; hideous!) So frustrating as I’ve seen some lovely pinks and reds in other people’s boxes! Great review Ysis :) xx

Hi! I’m thinking of subscribing to one of the boxes, what do you most recommend?
xx
Le Beauty Group
It depends on what you’re looking for. If you want to see well known brands and get samples of things you would normally buy anyway, then go for Glossybox. If you want to discover new, maybe more luxurious, brands, then Boudoir Privé is for you. I don’t subscribe to any others, so I can’t really recommend them, but people say Feelunique is good as well!
Hope it helped! xx

Oh, that’s a shame! I know they are trying to cater for all people with the different colours and all, but I don’t think that colour will please anyone!! What’s your blog address, hun? xx :)

You’re not the only one to get two masks so there’s no mistake there! The Boudoir Prive is a nice box but, if I’m honest I wouldn’t get the products because they’re mainly targeted at older women and I’m just 20. But it’s nice getting samples!

Thanks, hun! I’ll definitely check out your blog :) xx

Oh, and here I thought I was lucky. Ha! I know what you mean by the products being targeted to older women, but I do love the fact that there are new brands I’m discovering every month, which doesn’t always happen with Glossybox :) xx
