MAC Haul: Christmas 2011 and other things!

Having my mum around for a couple of weeks meant two things: lots of cuddles and lots of pressies!! :-) In one of our many shopping sprees, we ended up in MAC. Shall I show you my latest naughty purchases?

MAC Dazzlesphere! Berry Ornament (£25.50) – MAC – Debenhams

The first thing that grabbed my attention was this acrylic globe containing 4 MAC Pigments from the Glitter and Ice Holiday Colour Collection. It’s very appropriately called Dazzlesphere and there is a choice of a Blue, Plum or Berry Ornament. I chose the Berry quad, containing the colours Pearl, Rose Light, Spicy Smoke and Roasted Chestnut.

The pigments come in sets of two per bottle. By unscrewing the very top, you open the first pigment, and unscrewing the middle, you reveal the second pigment. Although the packaging is not very practical and quite flimsy, it is rather interesting. This set is very good value for money if you’re new to MAC pigments, and still can’t justify paying £15.50 per pigment. For the whole sphere with 4 pigments you pay £25.50, which is not cheap, but it’s reasonable.

MAC Face and Body Foundation C4 (£25.50) – MAC

This is the Face and Body foundation, and it has been on my list for a long time. I’ve been obsessed with foundations recently, especially with the photo-friendly ones. Since this foundation doesn’t contain SPF in it, it’s perfect for flash photography and I’ve heard good reviews about it. I’ll pop a review post here very soon!

MAC Eyeshadow in Sable (£11.50) – MAC – Debenhams

I purchased this MAC Eyeshadow in the colour Sable completely out of the blue. I hadn’t read any reviews of it previously, but the swatch revealed a very interesting colour; it looks like a warm and much more red-toned version of Satin Taupe. I think I’ll use this for an everyday effortless look!

MAC Powder Blush in Pink Swoon (£17) – MAC – Debenhams

This MAC blush is called Pink Swoon and I only purchased it because I fell in love with the makeup one of the sales assistants was wearing in the shop. She told me she applies a peachy toned blush as a base and a tiny bit of Pink Swoon on the apples of the cheeks to get a natural healthy glow, so I thought I’d give it a try :-)

MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Hot Gossip (£13.50) – MAC – Debenhams / MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme in To The Future! (£15.50) – MAC / MAC Frost Lipstick in Creme de la Femme (£13.50) – MAC – Debenhams

Now it’s time for my lipstick extravaganza! From left to right, they are Hot Gossip (Cremesheen), To The Future (Pro Longwear) and Creme de la Femme (Frost). They are all in the pink/peach category, but I’ve only tried To The Future so far, so I can’t really tell whether I like them or not. I’ll save my opinions to a review post!

MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer NC30 (£13.50) – MAC – Debenhams

Last but definitely not least I bought the polemic Studio Sculpt Concealer. Some hate it, some love it, so it’s only fair that I try it to make up my own mind about it, right?

That is all! What do you think of my rather excessive MAC haul? What else would you recommend me buying?
